Raising Funds For A New Vegan Cafe

Thanks for visiting the website and for your interest!

After 4 years of running a vegan café in Bangkok, Thailand, the end of last year I had to close.

Now with the sales of my new book “Vegan Pizzas NEW Flavours For Today’s Pizza” I hope to raise a very modest funds to kick start a new vegan café here in Thailand, where I can work out the ideas that I developed over the last 4 years.

Basically the concept for the new vegan café is to focus on attracting more non veggie customers. How can we do that ?

In the Herwins Vegan Café around 30% of our customers were not vegetarian or vegan. These customers came because we used fresh and quality ingredients, e.g. we didn't use margarine or white sugars for our cakes and we used only freshly cut vegetables, no cans, not precut or precooked, all fresh as can be. That is not only more healthy but also more tasty. And in a restaurant that is what matters ; serving tasty food for a nice price in a nice environment.

So for a new vegan café we will not focus on “being vegan” but on “being healthy and serving tasty and quality foods for a nice price”. Our cooking style will be vegan “Whole Food”. Trendy, tasty, healthy and ... vegan !

That is in a nutshells the idea of the new vegan café, I didn't exactly work out the definite form of the new vegan café yet, because that partly depend on how much funds I can raise. E.g. a small funds will allow me to kick start a small  falafel shop with no staff, a bigger funds will allow me to start an “Eco Caffe”, a vegan lunchroom kind of thing with fresh bakery products, and staff.
